Everyone's jewelry is sooo beautiful! Thank you for sharing! My husband and I lived about 20 miles away from Mt Rainier in WA state. I was sitting in the yard on day and decided to capture what I felt was the essence of the mountian. This piece is called Blue on Blue.
I made this lovely Ladybug bracelet last month after a month of rain and gloomy skis. I wanted bright colors and nature to invade me! It is bursting full of color and the promise of summer around the corner.
I found a great focal bead at my local bead store. It had streaks of black, peridot and silver. Since I love to make Kumihimo bracelets I combined black 8/0 seed beads with one strand of peridot seed beads. That makes a nice round bracelet with specks of the peridot seed beads. I really like the way the Kumihimo bracelet section sets off the focal bead. It is finished with silver crimp ends and a toggle clasp.

I have to add my dragonfly necklace to this contest - I wanted something lightweight and sparkly without being over the top and this is what I came up with. I had these briolettes for some time and wanted to use them in something - I especially love the sea glass green color for spring/summer - and had the little teal patinaed dragonflies - what says spring more than that? It is my new favorite piece and I have been wearing it so much
Snap out of it, Jean! There's beading to be done!
Spring really arrived here, FINALLY, and Jean was inspired to create some colorful, sparkly CZ jewelry with the beautiful components she found at Artbeads!

… ContinueI know I am not alone when it comes to crafting and hand problems, most notably Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, so I decided to do some research right here at About.com and see what kind of help I could get and pass on to other jewelry designers:
On the Orthopedics site I found a good article and diagram that discusses exactly what the heck Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is and what causes it.
I found an article entitled Exercises to Prevent and Ease the Pain of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome on the Physical Therapy site.
For those looking for a more holistic approach, I found some natural treatments discussed on the Alternative Medicine site, and on the Yoga site I discovered that there are actually some poses you can do aimed at reducing the pain.
The list really goes on and on, but here are a few more articles I found of interest:

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Hypothyroidism
